More
than 300 years old, this is a fine example of a Colonial upper class,
large, private residence. Legend has it that Friar Alonzo de la Cruz,
a Priest, who was then living in the residence, saw an image of the
Virgin Mary, who told the priest to build a place of worship high upon
a hill. The Convento de la Popa, now a famous tourist attraction, with
a magnificent view of the city, is the result.
