MEET DR. HUNT, M.D. FROM DETROIT,
WHO RECENTLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MEDICAL TOURISIM IN CARTAGENA

NOTE: From www.cartagenainfo.com
Cartagena offers many medical facilities with qualified staff which serve to compliment the popular concept of Medical/Tourism. Many patients (medical and dental) find that it's very cost effective to "treat your body" as you enjoy a great vacation in Cartagena, Colombia.

Meet Curtis Hunt, M.D. from the Detroit, Michigan area. Curt frequently visits his Cartagena girlfriend, Katia, where they both enjoy the shopping, food and nightlife in this Caribbean historic city. Curt stays in one of the comfortable rental apartments which front right on the Caribbean.

Curt offers his professional medical experience, as it related to his colon check-up in Cartagena. As Dr. Hunt says:

"I had the colonoscopy this morning, all went well, I slept thru the whole procedure. The doc was nice, young and very efficient. He took out one small polyp that I need to have analyzed by pathology. Polyp analysis would not have been completed in time for my departure, but it to was very economical ($40) and would have been done at a Cartagena University lab."

"English is not spoken at the clinic so my girlfriend Katia did a nice job in translation. Dr. Roy S. Ballestas Larios is shown in the photo, along with the clinic Administrator, his sister, Dra. Esmeralda Ballestas. I was sedated for the procedure. The receptionist, Liliana, gave me a computer print out of my procedure, along with digital images to take home with me.

Overall, I was very impressed, and the equipment used was the same as back home. Polyp analysis would not have been completed in time for my next days departure, but it too was very economical ($40) and would have been done at a local University lab. The total check-up cost me $150.00 U.S. Many Colombian patients, waiting in the visitor room were their to have similar work done."

Their clinic is open Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00. Telephone: 660-8628. They do not accept credit cards, cash only. Their E mail is: gastrocaribeltda@gmail.com.
